Since 2004 Ghost Tours of Vernon has led over 10,000 eager participants through the macabre and paranormal history of Vernon. For 20 years tours were led by the incomparable Mr. Gabriel David Sumegi Newman the 2nd.
Mr. Newman began telling spooky stories when he worked with the St. John’s Haunted Hike. The simplicity of storytelling combined with the excitement of theatre was a natural fit so when Mr. Newman moved to Vernon he created a tour of his own. After three years of research and interviews Ghost Tours of Vernon was born.
As the 21st season of Ghost Tours of Vernon commences, new hosts, Sir Harrison Robert Coe III and Lady Amelia Antonia Serafina Sirianni will continue its spine-chilling tradition scaring and delighting tourists and residents alike with local lore on the hauntings and supernatural stories surrounding the community. Though Mr. Newman is no longer with us, we imagine he is exploring even more of the paranormal … but perhaps he’ll pop in on us from time to time.

Potential risks may include, but are not limited to, uneven walking surfaces, potholes, broken pavement, walkway debris, raised path edges, wet or slippery ground, steps, curbs, low lighting, narrow walkways, traffic movement, traffic accidents, street crossings, construction and diversions due to construction, insect bites, bird strikes, and pickpockets. I am also aware that a walking tour has certain additional dangers and risks, some of which include physical exertion for which I may not be prepared and weather conditions that may change suddenly and unexpectedly.
I understand that personal injury, death, property damage, and property loss are all inherent risks when I go out in public. I assume all risks involved when I participate in a Ghost Tours of Vernon tour, or when I bring a child on a Ghost Tours of Vernon tour. I accept personal responsibility for any liability, injury, loss, or damage in any way connected with my participation in a Ghost Tours of Vernon tour.
